Charisma Carpenter: Ghost Started Film Fire
Charisma Carpenter believes a fire on the set of her new movie Psychosis was started by a ghost.
Charisma plays a successful novelist who is plagued to the point of madness when she moves to the rural English countryside in the film.
The horror movie was shot in a creepy old house in Somerset, south England, where the last witch burnings are believed to have taken place.
The actress revealed some very strange things happened during shooting which she thinks can only be explained by a supernatural presence, most notably an unexplained fire. “We had this fire in the fireplace that apparently was odd. I mean yes, it was a fireplace, but there was a ‘fire’ fire, it went awry and we had to have emergency services come out so I don’t know if that was the blue lady ghost protesting our presence or what,” the star told Cover Media.
Charisma added she didn’t feel too frightened at the time because the producers hadn’t wanted to scare her and so kept the building’s spooky past a secret.
“Nobody told me it was haunted until we all left,” said the relieved actress.
She added the cast didn’t have time to be scared because they were all getting along so well and having such fun.
The movie also stars British actor Paul Sculfor and rock star Justin Hawkins from The Darkness.
“Paul was the most fun and Justin was probably the most liked. You know we were a Motley crew; we had a lot of fun,” she recalled.
