Mika Bans Boyzone From Releasing Song
Mika has banned newly reformed Boyzone from releasing a song he wrote.
Flamboyant Mika had penned the song, ironically titled, I Gave It All Away, for other acts to buy and release, but after the Grace Kelly singer heard Boyzone's rendition, he deemed it 'too cheesy' - and banned the Boyz from putting it out.
A source close to Mika told The Sun: "He is keen to start writing for other pop artists as well as himself. But Boyzone isn't what he had in mind."
Meanwhile, a gutted industry insider from Boyzone's camp said: "Boyzone loved it, so they recorded it and it sounded great - a certain No1.
"Just like the title of the track, Mika gave it all away. But then he took it back again."
Boyzone are hot on the comeback trail since their split seven years ago and although the band are yet to sign a new record deal, they are working hard on a new album and comeback tour.
