Madonna Adoption Stuff
According to reports, the father of David Banda, the little Malawian boy adopted by Madonna and Guy Ritchie, has complained that he has been prevented from seeing his son.
Yohane Banda, who agreed to give his son up for adoption two years ago because he could not afford to support him, says he's not been allowed access to the child, and regrets giving him away.Banda is quoted by The Times as saying: "I should be able to see my son and say hello. I don't know how he is growing, what person he is turning into. This pains me because it looks like he is not my son any more". He goes on to say that the singer promised him he would be able to see his son in the future, and that the Malawian government would facilitate these meetings.
I seem to remember that Madonna has said that the boy would have died if she hadn't rescued him from the orphanage where he was living, but who knows if that's true or not. The adoption process is expected to be completed later this month, when Madonna can fit a visit to Malawi into her busy schedule.
