Britney Spears Offered Role In West End Play

Britney Spears has been offered a role in a West End play.

Britney could take the lead role of Blanche DuBois in a new production of Tennnessee Williams' A Streetcar Named Desire.

A source told the Daily Star: "Britney's been on the list for some time but was considered too risky until recently."

The source explained: "We'd wanted her for Blanche because even though she's technically too young too play her, who else could embody this fallen Southern Belle so well?"

Britney impressed many critics and US viewing public last week when she made a cameo acting role in hit Staeside sitcom, How I Met Your Mother.
