Queen releasing new Freddie album and Michael Jackson duet

The rock band will release a new album next year which could include a song featuring Michael Jackson.

Queen fans rejoice. After the low key collaboration with Paul Rogers, fans are finally getting something they have craved for the last two decades – a new Queen album with Freddie Mercury’s vocals.

After months of trawling through old unreleased material, Brian May has revealed that the band have enough material to release a new album next year. As if this wasn’t enough, the album with also feature a duet between Mercury and Michael Jackson that was recorded back in the late 1980 at Jackson’s house.

Talking to the Evening Standard, May said, “Michael used to come and see us when we toured the States. He and Freddie became friends and they were close enough to record a couple of tracks together that haven’t seen light of day.”

He added that the Jackson estate have given the go ahead for the track to be released.
