Keith Richards has revealed the group are getting together later this month in the capital.

Mick Jagger may have denied rumours that The Rolling Stones are planning a 50th anniversary tour, but Keith Richards has set the wheels turning again after revealing the band are going to be in a London studio rehearsing later this month.

The guitarist will be joining Ronnie Wood and Charlie Watts for the jam session, but it seems that they won’t be joined by Jagger – although the invitation is there for him to join them if he wants to.

Talking to Rolling Stone magazine, Richard’s said, “We’re just going to play a little together, because we haven’t played for about three or four years. You don’t necessarily want to rehearse or write anything, just to touch base. Mick’s welcome and I’m sure he’ll turn up.”

Richards had previously suggested that the band could be planning a celebration to mark fifty years since their first gig, but Jagger soon stomped on rumours saying, “Don’t hold your breath.”
