Liam Gallagher 'up' for Oasis reunion
Liam Gallagher The singer claims he would be prepared to put his feud with guitarist brother Noel - whom he fell out with in 2009, causing the end of the band - behind them to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their classic '(What's The Story) Morning Glory' album.
He told RollingStone.com: "In 2015, if we can put our s**t aside, we can tour and play the album in its entirety for the 20th anniversary. I'd be up for that, if it's on our terms. There's got to be two-way respect."
Noel has expressed similar feelings, and despite not having spoke to his sibling since the breakup of Oasis, said he'd like to celebrate the anniversary of the album, which has sold over 14 million copies worldwide and contained the classic tracks 'Wonderwall', 'Don't Look Back In Anger' and 'Champagne Supernova'.
Of his leaving the band, Noel said: "It was a hasty decision I've got to say, and we could maybe have all gone off and done other things for a few years, in my own head the 2015, 20-year anniversary of 'Morning Glory' is looming and we could have maybe come back, made a new album and played that album in its entirety and gone and been the greatest thing ever, but there you go."
Liam - who now fronts Beady Eye - maintains Noel will want a reunion after he takes his High Flying Birds solo project on tour and realises how much he misses him.
He added: "He's the one that keeps mentioning it. I want to put him out of his misery. But I think he needs to do his solo thing first and realise he's not that good without his brother.
"I'm up for it - I'm not desperate for it. If it doesn't work out, I don't give a s**t, I'm quite happy with Beady Eye."
Noel also maintains any reunion would not be about the money, saying: "I don't need the f***ing money, but I think it's a shame that songs like 'Champagne Supernova' and 'Rock and Roll Star' will never be played again. In a stadium. That kind of fills me with sadness. The money is kind of irrelevant."
