Slash records with Mary J. Blige
Slash Rock star Slash has teamed up with soul diva Mary J. Blige for a new song.
The former Guns N’Roses star started work on his second solo album this week alongside Mary and producer Mike Clink, who he worked with on “Appetite for Destruction”.
He tweeted: "Just finished a session w/Mike Clink engineering on a track w/Mary j Blige. Sounds killer! Iii|;) (sic)."
However, it is not clear at this stage if the track is for Slash's album or another project.
The rocker , as he has previously hinted he intends to use his live vocalist Myles Kennedy to sing all the tracks on the solo record.
He added: “"Myles and I have been writing all throughout the tour so we've got a lot of material, we're starting pre-production in June and then do the tour in July.
"In September we're going to do more pre-production and the album is slated to come out in March or April."
Upon starting sessions earlier this week Slash tweeted: "Started 2nd round of pre prod today. It's going to be a rockin' fn' record! Iii|; )(sic)."
It is not the first time Slash has got together with other stars for his songs. In his 2010 slef titled album he featured singerssuch as Ozzy Osbourne, Fergie, Iggy Pop and Adam Levine.
