The Darkness fans have been given another glimpse into what to expect from the band’s new album.

Talking exclusively to Total Guitar, lead singer Justin Hawkins has spilt the beans on their third studio release, confirming that although the album has not got a title yet, that it is almost completed.

“The house is built,” he said. “How we decorate it is the next conundrum. We’re getting to the stake where it’s like how much do we want to blow it? We could go for all those Queen arrangements, but do we overblow it or underblow it?”

Queen were also mentioned as one of the influences on the latest album, along with the likes of AC/DC and Aerosmith, which basically means we can look forward to more of that Darkness of old that we came to know and lover before their 2006 split.

The full interview appears in the new issue of Total Guitar which is out now.
