The singer sparked health fears after walking off stage drunk last week complaining of his voice and has now been put under strict orders to rest.

Following the disastrous Kings of Leon concert last week that saw Caleb Followill walk off stage in a semi-drunken stupor, the singer has now been told to rest his voice for a month by doctors.

Health fears were sparked by the singer’s drunken appearance at the band’s show in Texas on Friday night, which saw him tell the audience that he was going to go backstage for a couple of beers than he would return. The gig was ended then with brother Nathan apologising to fans, and soon after the remaining dates of their US tour were cancelled.

Now, Nathan has posted on his Twitter account that his brother is under strict instructions to rest.

“Caleb’s doc says that he needs vocal rest for at least a month so keep the good vibes coming.”

The band’s tour will recommence at the end of September in Canada.
