The Strokes The Strokes say they are planning to record the follow-up to their latest album “Angles” “As soon as possible.”
This is a surprisingly quick follow up after the five year gap between 2006 album “First Impressions of Earth” and 2006s “Angles”, however the band have been currently compiling new material and are keen to record a new album in the very near future.
Bassist Nikolai Fraiture said of the band's plans to record a new album: "If we could do it tomorrow, that'd be great. But yeah, as soon as possible I think."
He also said that they will be recording their fifth album in the same way as “Angles”, with each member bringing in their own ideas and putting them together in the studio.
The Strokes will return to the U.K in August to headline Reading and Leeds Festival.
