Britney Spears will still have to appear in court to face charges of driving without a valid licence.

Her attorney J Michael Flanagan asking that she not have to face trial over the issue, especially in light of her recent difficulties.

The hearing has been scheduled to go ahead later this month, and relates to an August 2007 incident in which the singer hit a parked car in LA then left the scene. A three judge panel rejected Flanagan's motion to seek a delay in the trial, and a reduction in the charge.
