Gabriella Cilmi danced so hard while filming her latest music promo her feet started bleeding.

The Australian singer’s new album Ten is due for release later this month, and she recently filmed the music video for its first single On A Mission. The clip sees Gabriella dancing around in sky-high heels and sexy vinyl dresses and was so gruelling to film she injured both feet.

“We really splurged on this one – it’s epic! It was a huge shoot and the scenes dancing in water made my feet bleed! It was total blood, sweat and tears and I had so much fun with the crazy costumes,” she told American magazine Star.

Despite her new “disco diva” image, Gabriella insists she is still a “real softie”. She could never be mean or nasty like other stars, but wouldn’t hesitate to deploy her family members on her behalf.

“Despite my killer heels, I’m a real softie,” she said. “Although I do have Mafia roots, so I’m sure there is this bada*s chick lurking deep down inside. Actually, my Italian grandmother is pretty tough, so don’t mess with me or I’ll set her on you!”
