Lily Allen finds it "funny" that she spends her days behind a desk nowadays.

Earlier this year, the pop star announced she would be turning her back on music to concentrate on various business projects for a while. As well as launching a vintage fashion boutique with her sister Sarah, Lily has also been setting up her own record label.

The 25-year-old has left the glitz and glamour of her showbiz lifestyle behind, and now spends every day working hard from the London headquarters of her business enterprise.

"I have got a little office in Soho now and I go out and go and sit at my desk every day, it's quite funny," the star told the British edition of OK! magazine.

Lily admits working in an office isn't as fun as touring the world and performing sell-out concerts, but says she's enjoying the change.

"I'm setting up business plans and all pretty boring stuff, but it's quite exciting," she added.

Lily has been allowing herself the odd night out, though, as she's scouting talent for her new record label.

The star has already discovered some promising new acts, but is remaining tight-lipped over their identities to avoid other labels signing them before her.

"I have been meeting with lots and lots of different people. I can't say who, because someone else will go and find them!" teased Lily.
