He is 16 years old, his album has reached number one in the US charts and he has hoards of teenage girls screaming his name.

In April, his beaming face was staring out from every newsstand in America.  Described by his road manager and stylist, Ryan Good, as being “like Beatlemania” the fickle world of Pop really seems to have “Bieber Fever”.

You would therefore be forgiven for thinking that Justin Bieber should be very grateful for what he has achieved in his relatively short time on earth but it would seem that money and fame may well have already got to his head.

At last weekend’s Radio 1 Big Weekend, Justin threw a tantrum when questioned by Fearne Cotton about his much-speculated recent tattoo.  After storming off he then refused to answer any more questions from the press.  Many have been quick to point out that this is yet another example of Justin’s erratic behaviour that is fast earning him the nickname “Bieber the Diva”.

Last month, whilst many teenagers would do anything for the chance of being the main feature and cover story of that week’s People magazine, Justin felt the need to complain at People’s choice of cover photo.  Using every celebrity’s favourite method of communication, Justin tweeted “Dear @peoplemag Covershoot…next time I laugh real crazy warn me u r still taking pics…still appreciate u but let’s get on the same page.”

It is generally not advisable to ask the best selling celeb magazine in the US to “get on the same page” especially to someone so young and at the start of his career.  Perhaps what is most ironic is that the feature on Justin centred around his humble beginnings in small town America.  Along with his Joker-style grin, the cover stated “All about Justin Bieber.  Tears! Screams! Fainting fans!  How a small-town boy raised by a teen mom became the hottest 16-year-old on the planet.”

Perhaps it was Justin’s mum or some well-needed assistant who pointed out to Justin that his Tweet was not the best of ideas as his rant was swiftly removed from his page and replaced with “Exclusive story and pics in the new issue of peoplemag.  I look crazy as heck on the cover but if u can’t laugh at yourself u ain’t havin fun.”

Good advice there Justin. Let’s just hope you start remembering that…
