It’s the stuff that music is made of – breakups.

Katy Perry has been said to be getting over her marriage breakdown with Russell Brand by putting her feelings into some “explosive” songs for her next album.

The singer has been using the songwriting process as a therapy for her poor heart, and it seems that even her new song Part of Me is already aiming at the relationship failure as it includes the lyrics, “You can keep your diamond ring. It don’t mean nothing anyway.”

An insider told Grazia magazine, “Katy goes from being angry one minute to upset the next. And she really is laying everything out there in her music, which she says has been extremely therapeutic.

''This new album will certainly be explosive.''

Personally, as a fan of Perry, I can’t wait for the new album, but it could be a little while yet as she has just churned out her rehashed Teenage Dreams album.
