Adele has confirmed she will make her live comeback at the Grammy Awards next month.

The 'Someone Like You' hitmaker - who underwent surgery on her vocal cords for a benign polyp last year, forcing her to cancel a string of concerts in America and England - took to her twitter account to inform her fans she "can't wait" for the performance at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles on Sunday February 12.

She tweeted: "Ima be, Ima be singing at the Grammys. It's been so long I started to forget I was a singer! I can't wait, speak soon xx. (sic)"

The 23-year-old star - who has been nominated for six prizes at the Grammys including Record Of The Year and Song of the Year for single 'Rolling in the Deep' and Album Of The Year for '21' - is also set to perform at the BRIT Awards one week later, three months after her voice-threatening surgery.

The only artist to outdo Adele in the Grammy nominations stakes was rapper Kanye West, who leads the field with seven nods.

His single 'All of the Lights' is up for Song Of The Year, and he is in the running for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration and Best Rap Song, while his track 'Otis' - with Jay-Z - picks up two nods in the Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song categories.
