Michael Buble's Christmas remains top of the album chart, its third non-consecutive week at number one.

According to The Official Albums Chart, the album sold over 250,000 copies in the second week of December alone, becoming the biggest weekly sales of any album this year. In the week before Christmas a further 317,000 copies were sold.

Buble said: "I’m absolutely thrilled to be Christmas number one. The UK is one of my favourite places to visit and it’s a real honour to have my record in so many fans’ homes this Christmas."

The album reached another landmark by becoming the fourth album to pass the million sales mark in the UK and has never left the top five since its release in October.

Christian Tattersall, CEO of Warner Music UK, said: "Christmas number one and over a million albums sold in two months, further proof that Michael Buble is a unique superstar. He is an extraordinary entertainer who has made one of the definitive Christmas records which will be enjoyed for years to come."

Amy Winehouse's Lioness - Hidden Treasures remains in second spot, with Olly Murs' In Case You Didn't Know climbing to third place.

Coldplay's Mylo Xyloto and Rihanna's Talk That Talk make up the top five albums.
