Anyone hoping for some new material from Adele could be in for a bit of a wait.

The singer has revealed that it will be at least two years before she releases another album and she won’t be cashing in on her high appeal at the moment.

The singer’s second album, 21, has been a massive hit on both sides of the Atlantic, breaking records everywhere with its sales volume, chart positions and general success for the young Brit.

The album also landed six Grammy nominations and is highly tipped to take most if not all of them.

Talking to Billboard Magazine, Adele said, “I imagine I’ll be 25 or 26 before my next record comes out as I haven’t thought about it at all yet. I’m just going to lay some concrete, set up home and just be me for a bit. I’ll disappear and then come back with a record when it’s good enough. There will be no new music until it’s good and ready.”

A brave decision I a music industry that easily forgets even its biggest assets.
