Christina Perri secretly loves Twilight
Christina Perri Christina Perri revealed she secretly loves Twilight.
The singer said she loves the books and was over the moon to be asked to contribute to the soundtrack of Breaking Dawn Part One.
Perri told Muzu.tv: "I discovered the Twilight series a couple of years ago, I got really into the books, and then the movies came out, and I’ve pretty much been obsessed since 2009.
"A Thousand Years is a song I wrote for Edward and Bella and their love for each other. Not just seeing the movies but reading the books, I felt like I could just jump into their relationship and write about it.
"And the song even musically is classical and it’s really romantic, it’s really pretty and simple. It’s probably the simplest song I have, and the prettiest I’ve ever written, and I’m most proud of it."
Other artists on the soundtrack include Bruno Mars, The Joy Formidable, Noisettes, Angus & Julia Stone, Sleeping At Last and The Features.
The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part One unsurprisingly topped the Box Office charts on both sides of the Atlantic. In the UK the film had the second highest opening of the year, behind Harry Potter and the Deathley Hallows – Part 2.
