Annie Lennox has always been a big supporter of AIDs charities, and by selling her collection of movie memorabilia the singer has raised just over £13,000 for The Sing Campaign.

The star trawled through her archives to collect together a number of items which were sold this week to tie in to World AIDS Day last week.

In the auction, Lennox raised over £9000 by agreeing to sing two songs over the phone for a fan, while a personalised Christmas Card brought £560.

The auctions came to an end Thursday, with a final total of £12,132 being raised for her charity.

Posting a thank you on her Facebook page, the singer said, “I just want to say a huge thanks to all who took part in the SING Campaign Ebay auction. I promise that every penny will be spent helping those affected with AIDS and HIV.”
