Lady Gaga Suffers Deep Vein Thrombosis
The flamboyant singer is famed for her outrageous outfits, and recently insisted she would “rather die” than let her fans see her dressed in normal clothes. She recently turned up at London’s Heathrow airport to fly to New York with just yellow and black tape protecting her modesty. Her outfit was topped off with a pair of sky-high Alexander McQueen blue shoes, which Gaga wore in honour of the late designer.
The singer didn’t change into more suitable clothes before boarding the plane, with the outfit so uncomfortable staff became worried she was developing the lethal medical condition deep vein thrombosis (DVT) while in the air. “Gaga was a high-risk DVT case so she was advised to change out of her clothes,” a source told British newspaper The Sun.
“But the outfit was so cumbersome she needed help changing out of it. She was particularly miffed about ditching her heels. She was wearing them in memory of Alexander.”
It is unknown what Gaga changed into.
The 23-year-old insists her unusual outfits brighten up the world of pop, claiming more celebrities should make the kind of effort she does. “You see legendary people taking out their trash, I think it's destroying show business. I feel completely detached from the celebrity world, you never see me falling out of nightclubs. Be whatever you want to be, it's not about emulating me... it's all right to be different,” she said.
