Amy Winehouse Buying £2.5 Million London Mansion
The singer is planning to move back to the city’s Camden area, where she used to live with her ex-husband Blake Fielder Civil. She has not lived there since jetting to the Caribbean island of St. Lucia to battle her substance abuse problems in 2008. When she moved back to the UK last year, Amy stayed in the north London suburb of Hadley Wood as she was worried she would be tempted back into her old lifestyle if she lived in Camden.
She now feels ready to return, with her record label claiming the area is her “spiritual home” and the only place she will be able to finish work on her eagerly-anticipated third album.
“Amy has been house-hunting for months and finally found somewhere that meets all her needs,” a source explained. “It is large and homely and has everything.”
The property boasts five bedrooms, four bathrooms, a sauna and a gym. There is also the potential to create a recording studio in it.
Amy, 26, is said to have her heart set on the home. She has instructed a surveyor to carry out an inspection of it, with the hope of exchanging contracts within weeks.
It has been claimed Amy is planning to live with Blake in Camden. The pair are said to have reignited their romance during a series of phone calls, with Amy keen to give their romance another shot. Blake has been living in Sheffield, north England, where he completed a stint in court-ordered rehab. There have been repeated claims the couple will re-marry in the near future, although Amy is yet to confirm the romance.
