Leona Lewis On How She Copes With Fame
Leona Lewis The 24-year-old singer shot to stardom when she won British contest The X Factor in 2006. Since then, she admits finding her fame difficult to deal with because people are always spreading false gossip about her.
“I don’t shout, but I can be very stern. I have a look that makes people realise I’m not happy,” she explained. “I vent every day, at my friends, mainly.”
What angers Leona the most, are stories that claim she is “shy” and “timid”, and lacking in personality. She insists she is one of the most forceful people she knows; she just doesn’t feel the need to advertise her wild side.
“People always say I am shy and timid but I have never been like that,” she told the British edition of OK! magazine. “It irritates me when people say I’m this quiet girl. I just don’t feel I need to dress wildly or prove to everyone otherwise.
“I’m no pushover. I am quite outwardly strong and I get my opinions and thoughts across, especially with my work and my music.”
