Lily Allen Vs Courtney Love: BEEF!!
The stars began chatting backstage at the event in Brixton, London, on Wednesday night, but soon started to disagree. Although the exact cause of the row remains unknown, things got so heated the women had to be pulled apart. A tearful Lily then fled the venue with her boyfriend Sam Cooper.
“The two singers were chatting amicably at first. Then things turned really nasty and then aggressive. Courtney seemed to take offence to something Lily said about her daughter Frances Bean and started shouting at Lily, calling her 'a little girl' and patronising her by saying, 'Welcome to the music industry,’ ” a source told British newspaper The Sun. "Lily was visibly shaken and upset by the exchange and snapped back 'Why the f**k did you say that to me?' before being ushered out in tears by her boyfriend Sam Cooper. It all happened very quickly and soon got out of hand.”
Lily and Sam drove off in a waiting car, leaving Courtney furious. The 45-year-old rocker later took to her Twitter page to discuss the argument, and made some harsh claims about Lily.
“I know most people in rock and music in London and I don't know one human being that likes this person. I just don't get it,” she wrote. “She's on a diet of Haterade and cat hiss and self-loathing. It was ugly, she was obviously jealous. So insecure, it's catchy, I just don't get it.”
Courtney was apparently annoyed with Lily as she thought the singer had banned other from wearing fashion label Chanel, which Lily models for, to the recent BRIT Awards.
Lily is not the only star to fall foul of Courtney on Twitter. She has also lashed out at John Mayer, apparently taking exception to his recent Playboy interview. In it, John likened his ex-girlfriend Jessica Simpson to “sexual napalm”. He also drew criticism for using racist language.
“do you ever feel like spite hate f**king @johncmayer just to put hi in his place, hes a better guitarist than me but not better in bed,” she wrote. “but like say your f**king @johncmayer totally throwing him around the room in bits and then you just BAM punch him in the face? good times. ive said far stupider s**t than @johncmayer about my alist bfs tho ive been discreet. but about rockers i spill the beans. hate f**king is an art like ‘the pit’ meaning you rape each other and then beat the s**t our of each other so u can feel s**t (sic).”
