Michael Jackson Paramedic Recording A Hoax?

By on 25/02/2010
A tape believed to be a recording of a paramedic treating Michael Jackson on the day he died has been branded a hoax.

The audio transmission claimed to feature a Los Angeles Fire Department paramedic calling the UCLA hospital to announce that Jackson was on his way. The unknown medical worker said Michael was “unresponsive”, not breathing and had no pulse when the resuscitation team arrived at his Los Angeles home last June. However, TMZ.com has dismissed the authenticity of the tape.

The gossip website reports Los Angeles City Fire Department Captain Steve Ruda told them, "It is not our conversation. It is not any of the paramedics who treated Michael Jackson."
In the recording, the person alleged to be a paramedic battling to save the pop superstar says, "Patient is Michael Jackson, the pop star singer... we should be there in five minutes. It doesn't look good." However, TMZ are reporting medical staff are trained not to name the patient in such a situation. The website also claims other terminology used during the transmission is not consistent with phrases usually used by medical staff.

The tape was found on an ambulance workers’ internet forum.

Jackson was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital. His cause of death was later found to be acute Propofol intoxication by another. Michael’s personal physician Dr. Conrad Murray has been charged with involuntary manslaughter.
