Amy Winehouse Returning To The Caribbean
The troubled singer, who fell in love with St. Lucia after visiting a year ago, is now planning on travelling to Jamaica in a bid to finish her long-awaited album.
However, the 26-year-old singer has been warned by record label bosses that she must take the trip seriously following her antics last time she holidayed in the Caribbean.
“She'll fly out next week. She is really excited about going back because she loves the Caribbean so much,” a source told British newspaper The Sun. “But she's been told it's not a party. She has to work.”
Amy is currently working on her third record, and hasn’t released anything since Back to Black in 2006. She is keen to make her new music sound different to what she’s done before, and thinks branching out into hip-hop could be the perfect solution.
Amy has already asked rappers Nas and Mos Def to record with her, and is in the middle of finishing tracks with the legendary Snoop Dogg.
It was recently reported the singer is being guarded by minders in a bid to ensure she finishes the record.
Her label dispatched a group of people to her home in London’s Barnet area to check Amy was getting down to work. The label also asked minders to guarantee Amy – who has battled an addiction to illegal drugs - stays in the studio for a certain amount of hours every day, and doesn’t party too much.
