Lily Allen Leading Brit Awards Nominations

Lily Allen and Florence & The Machine look set to become the toast of the BRIT Awards in London next month (Feb10) - both acts have landed a trio of nominations.

Both acts will compete with Bat For Lashes, Leona Lewis and Pixie Lott for the British Female Solo Artist prize, while Smile singer Allen is also up for British Album and British Single honours. Florence Welch's act is also up for British Album and British Breakthrough Act.

Most successful BRITs artist Robbie Williams is also up for multiple awards, as is rapper Dizzee Rascal, Lott, La Roux, Friendly Fires and Animal Collective.

The coveted British Group award will be a battle between Doves, Friendly Fires, JLS, Kasabian and Muse.

And, to mark the 30th anniversary of the awards, there will be a special fight for the best BRITs performance ever. Among those nominated are: Bros, The Who, Bee Gees, Coldplay, Michael Jackson, Paul McCartney, Spice Girls and Take That.
