JLS launch 3D movie

British boy band JLS are not just any normal pop act as they are also about to star on the big screen – in 3D!

With a string of No.1 hits under their collective belt, JB Gill, Oritsé Williams, Marvin Humes and Aston Merrygold have now moved into the movies with the upcoming release of Eyes Wide Open, which will feature never-before-seen film of the boys performing as well as exclusive backstage footage.

It seems that 3D movies are the latest fashion within the pop world, with JLS – runners-up from the fifth series of ITV talent show The X Factor in 2008 – joining the on-screen revolution already populated by likes of Canadian R&B sensation Justin Bieber and Irish-American dancer and musician Michael Flatley.

Yesterday evening’s premiere for Eyes Wide Open at London’s Soho Hotel was jam-packed with celebrities as other former X Factor stars, such as One Direction and Diana Vickers, graced the red carpet in support of the JLS boys.

The movie hits big screens at more than 180 cinemas up and down the UK and Ireland on June 3.

The band’s latest single, She Makes Me Wanna, will be released as a digital download on July 24.
