Dannii Minogue and Cheryl Cole could leave the X Factor panel as Simon Cowell rings the changes for the seventh series next year.

Simon Cowell has indicated he would like to see Robbie Williams join him and Louis Walsh on the judging panel. He also played down rumours he was planning to replace Dannii with former Spice Girl Mel B. He said: “A lot of things are going to change for next year – if we bring the show back. Possibly five on a panel. I don’t think it will be Mel B.

“I tell you who’d make a good judge – Robbie Williams. He’s fun, he’s got good instincts and he doesn’t take himself too seriously.”

Insiders have suggested Cheryl wants to leave to start a family with her husband, footballer Ashley Cole.

A source at the X Factor said: “The number one thing on her mind is starting a family. The show is a huge commitment. It’s six months of the year. Cheryl wanted to have a baby with Ashley this year but put it off because of work. She doesn’t want to wait much longer and she’s not keen on having to judge the X Factor while she’s heavily pregnant.”

Cheryl’s relationship with Dannii has come under speculation as rumours emerged of a rift. Sources have also said Simon is no longer fond of the Aussie singer.
