Simon Cowell has spoken about Susan Boyle's documentary, saying it is "like a Hollywood movie".

According to Extra, he said: "It's a great underdog story, like a Hollywood movie."

"This lonely lady living in her little house in a little village in Scotland and all [her] life dreaming about becoming a star but nobody ever took her seriously."

"Her last attempt was to come on 'Britain's Got Talent' and she walked on, everybody laughed at her again, but the minute she started singing her life changed forever... You can't write a story like that."

"It's fascinating seeing through her eyes how this one TV performance changed her life forever and how the Internet made her the most famous person in the world."

'I Dreamed A Dream - The Susan Boyle Story' will air on 12 December 12 on ITV1.
