The singer noted that his UK fanbase can be quieter at times compared to the “enthusiastic” response he receives from audiences around the globe.

James, who has enjoyed success with his music all over the world, is currently on the road with his world tour to promote his latest album Some Kind of Trouble.

“I think my audience around the rest of the world is perhaps much younger than it is in the UK and some people in other countries, they give a lot and are quite enthusiastic,” he said. “Whereas we are quite reserved in the UK sometimes, we are quite controlled in many ways.”

The 36-year-old former army officer lives on the Balearic island of Ibiza and he is enjoying touring around the world. He loves visiting foreign countries and exploring other cultures.

“I am on a 13-month world tour, it finishes in March 2012. We are having the time of our lives and going to some strange places,” he smiled.
