Katy Perry and Olly Murs top the UK charts

Olly Murs There’s reason for celebration for both Katy Perry and Olly Murs, both have reached number one in the UK charts.
Katy’s Teenage Dream has dislodged Eminem’s Recovery in the album chart whilst Olly Murs sits pretty on the summit of the singles charts with his debut track Pleases Don’t Let Me Go, that has ousted Taio Cruz and his Dynamite single from the top spot.
Ms Perry was unable to do the double and take both the top slots and so her single of the same name remains on the tail of Olly Murs in the number two position.
Other chart news sees Biffy Clyro with their Only Revolutions at number three after making an impressive jump from 27 on the back of their appearances at the Leeds and Reading Festivals.
