Katy Perry battling for UK albums and singles chart takeover.
Latest sales figures tell us that Katy Perry could be heading for the top of both the UK singles and albums charts, that is if she can manage to see off the X Factor’s Oly Murs and his debut single Please Don’t Let Me Go to reach the pinnacle of the singles chart.
Ms Perry’s Teenage Dream album does at present reside at number one in the album chart and is looking likely to remain there as it outsells rivals Disturbed with Asylum and The Pretty Reckless with Light Me Up but in order to do the double Mr Murs and his catchy tune will need to be toppled.
In the meantime Katy’s single of the same name sits at number two, right behind Oly; let’s see if it remains so on Sunday.
