Lady Gaga: We need to rebuild world
Lady Gaga The flamboyant singer doesn’t understand why people are still talking about when the end of the world might happen, because she believes it is going on already. She sites all the problems, such as war and racism, around the world as proof it is disintegrating, and hopes her music will help create a new one.
“We’re in the apocalypse right now. I mean, if racism, gay-bashing, the Ku Klux Klan and all of the wars and presidents that we’ve been through is not enough, I’m not sure what we’re waiting for,” she said. We’ve seen The End. It’s here. It’s happened. So now we must be joyful. And rebuild. And that’s what I’m about.”
Gaga is proud of her music, and doesn’t listen to people who dismiss her because she writes pop. She “loves a good chorus”, and thinks most other people do too.
Despite achieving worldwide success and being lauded for her fashion sense, Gaga still has hopes and ambitions. She hasn’t achieved everything she wants to yet, revealing there is one objective she dreams of constantly.
“My ultimate goal, besides making music for ever and touring the world over and over and becoming the greatest pop performance and art show on the planet? I want a Lady Gaga exhibit at the Louvre in France,” she told Q magazine.
