Britney Spears: Filming Glee was so much fun
Britney Spears The 28-year-old pop star is a huge fan of the US series, which follows a bunch of high school misfits as they try to make it as singing troupe. Britney has been talking about her desire to guest star on the show for months, and was thrilled to get her chance earlier this week.
The star arrived at FOX studios in Los Angeles early on Wednesday, posting a message on her Twitter account expressing her excitement.
“About to do my first shot of the day for Glee tweeties! Here we goooo! (sic),” she wrote.
Several hours later Britney posted another message accompanied by a picture of her on the set. The picture show the star dressed in clear plastic-framed glasses and a gray jumper standing next to her assistant Brett Miller.
“what’s up GLEEKS? Having so much fun on set!! Can’t wait for you guys to see the episode! (sic),” she wrote.
It is not known what part Britney plays in the show. The programme’s co-creator Ryan Murphy recently revealed the episode would focus on the star’s music rather than her turbulent personal life.
“She is arguably the most important female, other than Lady Gaga, of the last 10 years,” he said earlier this month. “It’s so reverential about her. It's about her music and it's not about her personal life."
Britney’s Glee episode will air in the US later this year.
Meanwhile, Ryan has revealed two other stars he is keen to get involved in the upcoming season of Glee – Prince and George Michael.
"I want to do something on Prince,” Ryan told E! Online. “I love Prince. I think he is just a genius, and I would love to feature him and his music on the show. Everything about him is dreamy and fantastic, and more than that, he meant a great deal to my life growing up. So I'm saying, 'Prince, help me out.'
"I don't think George Michael will be on per se, but I'm a huge fan of George Michael and I love his music...so we are gonna do something with George Michael's music."
