Robyn has revealed her collaboration with Snoop Dogg is “very gangster”.

The ‘Dancing On My Own’ hitmaker – whose joint venture with the hip-hop star is set to feature on her upcoming new album – revealed the track is to be entitled ‘U Should Know Better’ and will show Snoop in a different light.

She told Gigwise: “I had this idea of a song I wanted to do and he liked it.

“I brought him into my world, so I think people wouldn’t expect it from Snoop, but it’s still very gangster and it’s definitely a song written with him in mind. It’s really funny, it makes him look really good.”

Robyn’s collaboration with the ‘Gangsta Luv’ rapper marks a change of direction for the singer, who has previously stated the pop industry “disgusts” her.

She said: “I never enjoyed being interviewed by super-cheesy teenage magazines that were so far off where I was coming from. The pop industry, they just had one solution for everyone, and I felt quite disgusted by that. I started to rebel against it, but I never realised I could just not be in it.”

The Swedish singer – whose sixth studio album ‘Body Talk Pt.2’ is due for release in September – is currently touring the US alongside ‘Acapella’ hitmaker Kelis.
