Michael Jackson’s kids have star quality
Michael Jackson The superstar passed away aged 50 at his Los Angeles home in June last year. Michael is survived by his children, Prince Michael, 13, Paris, 12, and eight-year-old Prince Michael II, known as ‘Blanket’.
The kids are now looked after by Michael’s mother Katherine Jackson and she says they are each developing talents in different fields. While Paris loves playing the piano, Prince Michael is showing an interest in camerawork and Blanket enjoys singing and dancing.
“I have noticed talent in all three of Michael’s children – Paris loves the piano and she also wants to be an actress, which she is already. She wants to play the piano and she plays by ear so she can pick out any song she wants to – especially her daddy’s songs,” Katherine revealed in an interview which was conducted by the same website selling her book, Never Can Say Goodbye: The Katherine Jackson Archives.
“Prince has a lot of talent also, he is very talented with a camera and with electronics. He wants to be a cameraman and he wants to write movies. He has done a lot of things around the house like that with the other kids and they always ask us to the theatre room to watch them on the screen.
“Blanket loves to sing, he plays with his toys most of the time and he is very young yet. But he can carry a tune very well, he has rhythm and he can dance.”
Katherine has also revealed her grandchildren have expressed a desire to attend school with other students their age. At the moment they are taught at home, but Katherine says she is considering allowing them to enrol at a private education facility so they can make new friends.
“The kids are doing fabulous right now, they are straight A students,” she explained. “They have home schooling – they want to go to public school, but we told them they had to go to private school. But we are looking into that and they have looked at several schools. We want to see how it works out come September.”
Meanwhile, the cast of Glee have revealed they would love to dedicate an episode to Michael. The popular US television show focuses on a group of high school misfits who enjoy singing and dancing. Stars including Madonna and Lady Gaga were honoured in the first season of the programme and the cast would relish performing some of Michael’s greatest hits in the new season.
"That would be pretty cool," Matthew Morrison said when asked about a Michael Jackson-themed episode. "He is probably the best and most iconic performer in the history of music."
