Elton John Donates Designer Clothes To Brighton Charity Shop
Elton John The Rocket Man singer and his partner David Furnish have donated some of their designer gear to Sussex Beacon, a care centre that helps people with HIV and Aids, according to Brighton newspaper The Argus.
The singer’s clothes include designer items by Alexander McQueen, Versace and Fendi, and will be available to buy from 7 August to 9 August, coinciding with the Brighton Pride Parade
Elton has previously donated items through his Aids Foundation (EJAF) for Sussex Beacon’s fashion show earlier this year.
Fundraising manager Nick Rose said: “We currently have to raise over 40 per cent of the income it takes to maintain our current service levels through fund raising. We hope this event will raise some vital funds.”
Proceeds from sales will go to Sussex Beacon, which is one of only two clinical HIV and Aids care centres in the UK.
