Lady Gaga “changed the rules” of pop music.

The eccentric ‘Poker Face’ singer has paved the way for more unknown artists to be able to break through into the mainstream, believes Alphabeat star Anders SG, who has remixed the singer’s hit ‘Telephone’ for her new album ‘The Remix’, which features alternate versions of Gaga’s songs.

Anders said: "She's pretty much changed the whole game with her music and her videos and her style and all that.

"It's like blown everybody's minds and it just got more and more crazy and more and more brilliant. It just kept going. I guess she pretty much changed all the rules of pop music. Pretty amazing, actually ... it makes way for new types of music to be played on the radio.”

Anders has urged other famous female singers, including Christina Aguilera and Britney Spears, to up their game in order to match Gaga’s success without mimicking her distinctive style.

He added to MTV News: "If I was Christina Aguilera, Britney and all those, they have to come up with something really, really great now.

"You can't just copy what she's doing. I guess all those big pop stars are gonna sit there and go, 'What do you do?' "
