By MusicRooms on 25/07/2010
Elvis Presley Tools used to prepare Elvis Presley’s body for his funeral are going under the hammer.
The items include rubber gloves, forceps, a comb, brushes, eyeliner, needle injectors, an arterial tube and aneurysm hooks.
Also being sold by Chicago's Leslie Hindman Auctioneers is the toe tag used to identify the singer.
The collection, which belonged to a senior embalmer at the Memphis Funeral Home, could fetch up to $14,000 when auctioned off on August 12.
"The mortician, who prepared the body, retained the tag and the instruments, along with the preparation room case report, the case sheet, dry cleaning tags, the hanger to the singer's suit and tie and the coffin shipping invoice, which are marked 'Elvis Presley'," said Mary Williams of Leslie Hindman Auctioneers.
