Kylie Minogue has become the first solo artist to have four number one albums in different decades in the UK charts.

The ‘All the Lovers’ singer hit the top spot with her 11th studio LP ‘Aphrodite’ on Sunday (11.12.10), following in the footsteps of her other chart-topping albums in the 80s, 90s and the 2000s.

Her first record ‘Kylie’ was number one 22 years ago in 1998, while ‘Kylie’s Greatest Hits’ topped the charts in 1992, with ‘Fever’ following suit in 2001.

While she’s had lots of success over the years, Kylie recently revealed she regrets her last two albums.

The 42-year-old star admitted she wished her past offerings 'Body Language' and 'X' could have been "more cohesive".

She explained: "I hate to have regret, because there was some amazing stuff on there, but there was a niggling voice in my head that just wished they could have been a little bit more cohesive.

"Hindsight can be a real b***h. You go, 'God, I wish I'd been more clear-headed or thought of that or been more strong-willed', or whatever the case is."

However, she said she does not have the same feeling with 'Aphrodite'.

She said: "I don't think I've ever felt this way about an album. I feel that just a lot of goodness has gone into it.”
