Noel Gallagher taking a break from music
Noel Gallagher is planning to take a break from music.
The former Oasis guitarist wants to take time out from his solo project Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds in 2013 because he doesn’t want to mess up his own musical “brilliance” like Oasis did with their third album.
Noel told XFM radio: “I’m taking a well earned break after this. Why mess with brilliance? I’d only f**k it up.
“Look what it did to the aftermath of ‘(What’s The Story) Morning Glory?’. S**t on it! ‘Be Here Now’?”
Oasis’ third album ‘Be Here Now’ was slammed by critics, many branding it their worst, and Noel agrees his efforts were not a success, describing the LP as “the sound of a bunch of guys, on coke, in the studio, not giving a f**k.
He insisted: ”All the songs are really long and all the lyrics are s**t and for every millisecond Liam is not saying a word, there’s a f*****g guitar riff in there in ‘Wayne’s World’ stylie.”
When asked whether Oasis would ever reform, he recently said: “Not even if all the starving children in the world depended on it. I know it’s the done thing these days and what people do, but it’s not what I do.”
