Madonna’s MDNA tour is top earner
Despite of all the controversy Madonna managed to stir up during her MDNA tour the Queen of POP has proved she’s still at the top of her game.
The 54-year-old singer has been on the road since May, and the hard work has paid off – the concerts have pulled in a staggering £141 million, making it the most lucrative tour this year, according to Billboard.
Not far behind her is Bruce Springsteen’s ongoing Wrecking Ball Tour which has taken £123 million.
Roger Waters’ The Wall Live show, which has been on the road since 2010, is in third place on the countdown with £115 million, while the Michael Jackson: The Immortal World Tour by Cirque Du Soleil has pulled in £90.9 million.
Coldplay (£90.9 million), Lady Gaga (£76 million), Barbra Streisand (£24.7 million), Sir Elton John (£19 million) and Justin Bieber (£18.5 million) also make the list.
