A man who burgled Jon Bon Jovi’s home has been sentenced to five years in prison.

Nicholas Tracy was sent down last week after he pleaded guilty to a crime spree in Middletown Township, New Jersey, during which he stole $300,000 worth of jewellery and personal items from homes including possessions that belonged to the ‘It’s My Life’ rocker.

The 22-year-old man was caught in the act by police on April 13, 2011, as he was committing yet another robbery.

He was sentenced last Friday (12.10.12) by Monmouth County Superior Court Judge Ronald L. Reisner for stealing from three homes in the  Navesink River Road area on March 14, April 1 and April 3 of 2011.

Beachwood resident Nicholas allegedly took $100,000 worth of jewellery from Jon Bon Jovi’s home, but some items have since been recovered by police after an investigation was carried out.

He pleaded guilty on September 4 to three counts of second-degree theft and one count of third-degree burglary.
