Green Day’s Billie Joe to still appear on The Voice
Although he is currently in rehab, the punk rocker’s mentoring duties on The Voice will still go ahead as planned.
Despite being admitted to rehab in the last few days, Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstron’s The Voice appearance will still go ahead as planned.
The singer was put into rehab to seek treatment for substance abuse following a breakdown at a Las Vegas festival appearance at the weekend, leading the band to postpone a number of upcoming live shows, but a rep for the singer said that it would not affect Armstrong’s appearance on the US talent show.
Armstrong is to mentor acts belonging to Christina Aguilera during the current season of the show, and part of his appearance has already been recorded.
Green Day released their new album Uno! recently and have just announced tour dates in both the US and across Europe in support of it. Their follow up albums are due out in November and January.
