X Factor’s Tulisa feared sex tape would ruin her
The singer has revealed in her autobiography that she thought the leaked tape would end her career.
X Factor judge and World’s Sexiest woman Tulisa Contostavlos has revealed that she feared the leaked sex tape of her and ex-boyfriend would destroy her career.
In her upcoming autobiography, the singer talks about the “massive axe” she felt hanging over her throughout the incident and the fear for her reputation having just started out as a judge on The X Factor.
She says, : “It felt as though there was a massive axe swinging above my head.
“My job as a judge on ‘The X Factor’ was to smile and be smart and funny. But underneath I was petrified of being made to look like some kind of slapper in front of the nation.
“I would try to put the whole thing out of my mind but it would creep back – it was pretty much all-consuming.”
“There was a text from Jack asking if I was OK. He had just arrived back in London and we met up the next day.
“It turned out he’d been on a plane when I’d texted him. As soon as I saw him everything started to feel better, easier.
“For the next three weeks he never left my side. It was the distraction I needed. And as time went on I started to feel stronger.”
Tulisa sued Justin Edwards for leaking the footage in court after he initially denied putting the video in the public domain.
