It could well be that Blur’s Olympic closing concert was not their last as the band could be reuniting in 2013.

Taking to their Facebook page, Blue wrote: ”Thank you for waiting,

“Rock Werchter is about to announce that Blur will headline next July. We’re excited. Hope to travel in 2013 to play to more of our lovely fans who we haven’t seen for a while. Don’t know where yet, we’ll tell as soon as we do. Stand by.”

Rock Werchter on the same day announced that Blur will appear in Belgium on Friday 5 July, performing on a bill that also includes Rammstein.

In April, Albarn told The Sun that Blur’s August concert at Hyde Park would most likely be the end the group’s reunion.

“Hyde Park is definitely our last gig in this country this year and probably for a long time,” he told the Sun, “but that doesn’t mean it’s the end of Blur. If someone wanted us to do an album for a film I’d definitely be interested in something like that. So that’s the offer.”
