Beyonce accused of lip-syncing
Beyonce has been accused of lip-synching her performance of the American national anthem at Barack Obama’s inauguration.
It is not known for certain that the singer did mime but according to The United States Marine Corps band, she did.
A spokesperson for the band wrote on their Washington blog:”We don’t know why Beyoncé decided to use pre-recorded music.
“All music (for inaugural ceremonies) is prerecorded as a matter of course, and that’s something we’ve done for years and years.”
Captain Gregory Wolf, a spokesman for the Marine Corps, later confirmed that while the musicians did indeed mime the national anthem as requested, “no-one in the Marine Band is in a position to assess whether it was live or prerecorded”.
To be honest, I don’t know what the big deal is, she is not the first to lip-sync and will not be the last. They all do it.
