Gray Things has unveiled the spooky, chilly synthscapes of ‘I Want It To Live’ after premiering on Dummy, the b-side off his forthcoming single ‘Girl’.

The three tracks that make up Gray Things’ new single were recorded at the Cats Purring Dude Ranch in Oxford, Missippi, a music venue, artistic hangout, DIY collective and sometime residence that counts fellow pop experimentalists such as Dent May, Bass Drum Of Death and ILLLS amongst its ranks.

Kicking off with the slyly buoyant, venom-spiked throwback analogue pop of ‘Girl‘ and quickly moving into darker territory with the floating, evocative synth expanses of ‘I Want To Live’ and overdriven, clangorous noise-pop of ‘King Of Wands’, Gray Things demonstrates that far from the notion of indistinct middle ground, his grey is one of a spellbinding, hypnotic meeting point between light and dark.
